I think this was my favorite story in this anthology. This is only the second book I read with a werebear, and who doesn't think bears are cute? Cute but dangerous!

I was a little confused by as animals they couldn't smell other of their kind! They didn't even know each other of their pride, and used different names when in animal form. I liked the fact that the mother of Liddy had a total change of heart at the end of the story.

That proves difficult when Dr. Zinsa Senghor takes up temporary residence in his clinic to escape the nearby fighting of the civil war ravaging Mekimba. Zinsa is more temptation than he can withstand, but Grant fears her reaction when she discovers the nature of the beast locked inside him.
I really wanted to know more about Zinsa's abilities. She must have had some based on what her father had told her about finding her other half. I did enjoy the story.
